The Technology
High energy lasing is photomedicine that deposits significant energy in a short period of time - up to 200 Joules in a 20 second treatment. The energy is applied with the laser operating in a continuous wave mode, providing a soothing, continuous infusion of energy into tissue. Although it is often prescribed for pain management, evidence suggests that serious disease and injury respond positively to this high energy treatment. Our laser systems are designed to provide deep penetration with minimal losses when passing through skin. Our treatment protocols are based upon patented technologies, and treatment is referred to as Laser Neurotherapy™. Effective treatment is from the energy deposition and the rate at which it is deposited.
Localized warming of tissue provides reassuring evidence that the energy is penetrating deep. Our systems are thoroughly tested and characterized before being fielded, and operate within the safe limits of a class 3B laser per IEC 60825-1 and ANSI Z136.1.
Neurolase™ systems are cleared for marketing by the FDA and have been classified as non-significant risk (NSR) devices per 21 CFR 812.2(b)(2).
What High Energy Lasing is Not:
- Low Intensity Laser Therapy (LILT)
- Low Level Laser Therapy (LLLT)
- Cold Laser Therapy
- Soft Laser Therapy
- Anodyne Therapy
- Light Emitting Diode (LED) Therapy
- Photobiomodulation Therapy
Neurolase™ systems do not use light emitting diodes (LEDs), superluminous diodes (SLDs), multiple wavelengths, electrical stimulation, or ultrasound, just pure photonic energy. The laser engine is a high power laser diode package with proprietary optics and delivery system that provide an homogenous, high power, measurable output across the entire treatment area.
