Military Medicine
There are approximately 1.5 million active duty military
personnel in the United States armed forces and another 1.2 million
in the reserves. Healthcare in support of military missions is
frequently dispensed by means of mobile services (air evacuation,
naval ships, ambulance) and field care (temporary treatment
facilities). We believe our technology has multiple applications in support of active armed forces, retired veterans, and the Veterans Administration which cares for ten of thousands of disabled veterans.
Manpower Utilization
Total manpower utilization is key to fielding the most effective armed force. Medical treatment which decreases the time soldiers, sailors, and airman spend in rehabilitation is key to maintaining an optimal force with available resources.
Post Casualty Care
Combat casualties are a fact of life for those serving in the military. Many of the flesh wounds and burns may benefit from high energy lasing. We are looking for institutions and facilities to assist in getting this technology into the hands of those medical practicioners who provide post casualty care for our soldiers, sailors, and airmen.
Long Term Care
The Veterans Administration cares for active duty and retired military personnel who have a service connected disability. As with any long term care facility, a significant amount of time and resources are expended caring for pressure ulcers. We are seeking VA personnel who would like to apply for a merit grant and use the Neurolase™ to demonstrate efficacy in closing hard to heal sores.
